प्रेरकः सूचकश्वैव वाचको दर्शकस्तथा । शिक्षको बोधकश्चैव षडेते गुरवः स्मृताः ॥
The above shloka implies that a guru is the one who inspires, informs, speak the truth, shows the path, teach and helps in realization.
Guru Poornima honours the knowledge of teachers who guide us through the life. The tradition of our country, India admires the people who enlighten us. It is believed that service to the guru will help one attain salvation. Our school celebrated this auspicious day. The students expressed their gratitude towards their guru. The teachers of our school taught Sanskrit shlokas to the students. The students were also taught the meaning and significance of the festival.
