Martyrs’ Day Celebrations


Martyrs’ Day is commemorated on January 30th to mark the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It is also commemorated on March 23rd to remember the sacrifice of 3 extraordinary revolutionaries of India – Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, Sukhdev Thapar.

As part of the day’s events, the children at NSE, Mysore were provided with the information on the importance of the day in Indian independence movement. They were made to observe “2 Minutes of Silence” expressing their respect to the freedom fighters of our country.

On that day, the students got to know the importance of the day in our 20th century history and why it plays such a significant role in our lives even today. It was a memorable experience for the students who understood the importance of the historical day. The entire event was captured in colorful pictures to make it even more memorable.
